The AIR program acts as a valuable resource empowering community-based supervision agencies to better serve their communities. AIR makes it easier for agencies to provide offenders with the tools, resources, and support programs proven to break the cycle of recidivism. Things most people take for granted, such as food, clothing, housing, and transportation, serve as critical resources when it comes to successful offender reintegration. The AIR program’s smartphone serves as a tool agencies can use to provides offenders with easy access to counseling services, employment assistance, and housing/transportation assistance as well as a monitoring tool. In addition, the AIR Integration Team can serve as a support resource for case managers, and help them in their efforts to provide offenders with the tools necessary to remove the barriers and greatly reduce the likelihood of recidivating.
